HISTORY & SUCCESS

Edgar Escobar immigrated from Guatemala to the United States in the 1980’s he was 17 years old. Working as a baker for more than 20 years, he eventually purchased O'Brien's Boulangerie in 2006. The bakery was first located in a 4,000 square foot space in the Del Mar Highlands . After significant growth in 2013, the bakery moved in to a 10,000 square space in Escondido and once again hit capacity there.

After continued success and a desire to purchase a buiding we opened a storefront Café led O'Briens to a 22,000 square foot location in the Poway Business Park. Where we also do all of our wholesale production.

With the launch of its Café, O'Brien's now serves breakfast and lunch. Visit O'Briens to enjoy a fresh loaf of bread, pastries or dessert, too!

O’Brien’s bakes and delivers breads to hotels, casinos, resorts and restaurants all over San Diego seven days a week.
