Eddie's upbringing was marked by the presence of his father, who worked as a baker, and the rest of his family who operated a family-owned bakery. At the age of 24, Eddie developed an interest in baking and began training in pastries & desserts. Through dedicated effort and discipline, he achieved mastery in the art of baking. It was during this time that Eddie's passion for pastries and desserts was ignited, leading him to become our esteemed Pastry Chef.

Eddie's impact on the culinary offerings at O'Brien's has been significant. He has successfully introduced a range of new pastry recipes, and launched a line of delectable desserts that has become a hallmark of the establishment. Eddie's exquisite pastries are prominently featured in the O'Brien's Cafe on a daily basis, a testament to his expertise and talent in the realm of pastry-making.

JC ESCOBAR

Head Baker
Juan Carlos is a native of Guatemala City, where he spent his formative years before immigrating to the United States at the age of 18. In the early 1980s, he secured his first job in San Diego at a local bakery, setting the stage for a career in the baking industry.

In pursuit of his passion, Juan Carlos eventually made his way to Parisian Bakery, where he honed his skills for two decades. His commitment to his craft and dedication to the art of baking did not go unnoticed, and he soon found himself at O'Brien's Boulangerie, where he worked under the tutelage of Jim O'Brien, the establishment's previous owner.

In 2006, Juan Carlos' brother, Edgar Escobar, took over ownership of O'Brien's Boulangerie. With his extensive experience in the industry, Juan Carlos was the natural choice to assume the position of Head Baker. Drawing upon his years of expertise, he oversaw the bakery's production operations, ensuring that the establishment continued to produce the same high-quality baked goods that it had become known for.

General Manger
Over the years, Yvonne's dedication and commitment to the business have remained unwavering. Her leadership qualities became apparent when she led the expansion and improvement of the O'Brien's Cafe in 2018, resulting in a significant increase in revenue for the establishment.

Today, Yvonne's role has expanded to encompass several responsibilities, including managing the cafe, overseeing marketing and social media, and helping with the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. Additionally, Yvonne handles much of the administrative work, displaying her competence and versatility in various aspects of the business.

Yvonne's contribution to O'Brien's has been invaluable, and her passion for the family business and the bakery industry is undeniable. We are privileged to have her as an integral member of our team, and we look forward to her continued success and growth with O'Brien's.

Senior Director of Operations
Sara's dedication to the business has been evident from the start, as she has been involved in every department, from making deliveries and packing bread to helping in the kitchen, handling wholesale orders. Sara's efforts played a vital role in growing O'Brien's customer base from 30 accounts to over 300 customers.

Sara's success in expanding the business's customer base is a testament to her excellent work ethic and ability to foster strong relationships with customers. Her tireless efforts have contributed significantly to the business's success and growth, and we are proud to have her as a part of our team.

As an accomplished professional, Sara's experience and expertise are invaluable to the continued success of O'Brien's Boulangerie. We look forward to her continued contributions and leadership in driving the business forward.

ISBETH QUINTERO

Sales Representative

Isbeth joined O'Brien's Boulangerie as a wholesale customer representative, bringing with her a wealth of experience in logistics, sales, merchandising, and customer service from her background in retail and wholesale. Her expertise and professional approach have been a valuable asset to the team.

Isbeth's success in her role stems from her excellent communication skills, adaptability to changing priorities, and a knack for achieving set goals. Her dedication to her work has enabled her to continue developing her professional skills, resulting in her recent promotion to accounts receivables.

Her willingness to take on new responsibilities and her eagerness to learn has made her an invaluable member of the team.
